E.ON in Sweden is part of the international energy group E.ON SE, headquartered in Essen, Germany. The group employs around 70,000 people in 17 countries. In Sweden, around 2,100 dedicated employees work. Our Nordic headquarters is located in Malmö. In Sweden, we deliver electricity, heat, and smart energy solutions to over one million households and businesses. E.ON's role is to take responsibility and drive development forward, so that more can transition. With our investments and our customers' willingness to contribute, we work to continue electrifying society and meet future energy needs.
Welcome to us at E.ON – and become part of the energy transition. In collaboration with our customers and partners, we ensure that electricity and heat are produced, used, and recycled smarter. If you have passion and believe in the power of working together, E.ON is the place for you.
About us
Do you want to help shape the sustainable energy solutions of the future? At E.ON, you will have the opportunity to develop your specialist skills in electrical power while contributing to a safe and reliable electricity supply. You will be part of the Technical Management team within the Facility Management department, which is responsible for how we build, maintain, and develop our local network.
The team consists of six technical experts with different specializations – from overhead and cable technology to substations, automation, voltage quality, and network calculations. We are now looking for someone to complement us with expert knowledge of electrical power components.
About the position
As a technical expert in local network components, you will have a central and meaningful role where your expertise makes a difference. You will work both strategically and operationally to design and shape tomorrow's electricity networks, ensure high standards of electrical safety and operational reliability, and support procurement, testing, and commissioning.
You will have an advisory role for colleagues, projects, and decision-makers, and represent E.ON in national and international committees on standardization and technology development. The role also involves monitoring market developments and driving improvements that make our solutions even more sustainable and future-proof.
Your experiences
We are looking for someone with an engineering degree in electrical engineering, energy systems, or a similar field focused on electrical power or high voltage. You have several years of experience in the energy sector and have preferably worked with local networks and electrical power components in various contexts. Your understanding of how substations, switchgear, distribution transformers, cables, and overhead lines work allows you to take a holistic approach and contribute your expertise in both strategic discussions and practical matters. We see that you are experienced in translating technical results into requirements in governing documents and that you are comfortable interpreting and applying standards and regulations. Additionally, you express yourself well in both Swedish and English, in both speech and writing, which enables you to communicate and collaborate with various stakeholders in a professional and trustworthy manner.
At E.ON, we see technology and innovation as a natural part of our everyday life. We believe that you are curious, eager to embrace new technology, and see changes as an opportunity to find smarter and more sustainable solutions. We also see that you are a communicative person who enjoys sharing your knowledge and appreciates teaching others. You have the ability to explain technically complex issues in a way that creates understanding and confidence, both in internal projects and in presentations to management groups or partners.
What is it like with us?
Your manager Selma leads with openness, trust, and psychological safety, ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to grow in their roles. Our team is unpretentious, supportive, and eager to share knowledge, which is especially valuable since we often work as experts in different locations. We have fun together, meet physically about once a month, and value balance in life – because when we feel good, we perform sustainably.
At E.ON, we actively work with inclusion - it is crucial for driving the energy transition forward. We want you to feel welcome! We strive to create a safe working environment with meaningful tasks and good opportunities for development. We continually challenge ourselves to create a welcoming workplace, where we hope you will thrive.
We work for a more sustainable energy society, but it is equally important that our employees have the conditions to care for their personal sustainability. Therefore, we offer good benefits to ensure you feel good and have a good balance between work and leisure. Some of these include a shorter working time that is higher than the industry standard, health insurance, free healthcare, and more!
Warm welcome to apply and join us on the path to a sustainable society! The application deadline is January 27.
